Sunny Side of the Doc 2025 | Canada Pavilion
CALL FOR ENTRIES
The 36th edition of Sunny Side of the Doc, the international marketplace for documentary and narrative experiences, will take place from June 23 to 26, 2025 in La Rochelle. Several networking events as well as presentations and project screenings will be organized for all key players in the documentary industry.
During Sunny Side of the Doc, Telefilm Canada and its partners are joining forces in a trade mission, under the umbrella of the Canada Pavilion, and will be offering an array of services: meeting areas, promotional tools and special rates for accreditation. The goal of this initiative is to increase the visibility of Canadian companies in the documentary industry as well as helping them find partners while promoting their projects to an international audience.
Telefilm Canada will offer a reduced rate of 435€ (excl. tax), a discount of 105€, on the purchase of a badge of the market pass.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- The applicant must be a Canadian controlled entity within the meaning of the Investment Canada Act;
- Participants must be employed by a private company in Canada;
- Participants primary activity must be related to the film, television or new media industry.
*SODEC offers an additional discount for Quebec companies (1 accreditation per company). Once you have registered with the Canada Pavilion, SODEC will contact you to send you the discount code and the link to purchase your accreditation.
HOW TO REGISTER
- Complete the Canada Pavilion registration form
- Upon receipt of your registration form, Telefilm Canada and Sodec (Quebec customers) will send you a link to get your accreditation and a promotional code (Quebec customers only).
- You will then need to register with Sunny Side of the Doc to complete the purchase of your market pass.
- All companies will be contacted to invite you to create or update your profile(s) on RDVCANADA.CA
ABOUT
Sunny Side of the Doc is an international market dedicated to supporting the international financing of documentary projects and the circulation of completed programs. Every June, the 4-day event brings together more than 2,000 participants (decision makers, producers, filmmakers, sales agents, foundations and funders) from 70 countries. Challenging and thought-provoking conference sessions, pitch competitions (with prizes), presentations by broadcasters, screenings and special events, all in a large exhibition and conference venue, Espace Encan, on the harbour side of La Rochelle.
