ABOUT
SXSW Sydney® celebrates the convergence of tech and innovation, games, music, screen and culture and is an essential destination for global professionals and highly engaged consumers who share an appetite for future-focused experiences.
SXSW Sydney is the official annual Asia-Pacific instalment of SXSW and as an APAC event strives to present a diverse balance of talent, ideas and backgrounds. The event features conference sessions, music, games and XR showcases, film screenings, a tech and innovation expo, professional development and networking opportunities, and much more.
In 2023, there was a strong Canadian presence at the festival including the feature In Flames (Zarrar Kahn), ASOG (Sean Devlin), and Rosie (Gail Maurice) among others.
Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of features, shorts and XR projects in this festival for application to the International Promotion Program.
