CALL FOR ENTRIES
Telefilm is opening applications for its digitization initiative “Canadian Cinema – Reignited“.
Telefilm is partnering with the industry to promote the preservation and rediscovery of Canadian cinema, both theatrically and on streaming platforms.
Digitization and restoration help preserve our film history as well as create new opportunities to celebrate Canada’s filmmaking legacy, while paving the way for continued creativity, innovation, and international success.
Through the digitization initiative, audiences will be able to discover and experience the many ways in which quality Canadian cinema continue to reflect our country’s diversity, talent, and the global appeal of our unique and diverse stories.
As such, Telefilm will provide financial contribution to applicants who are willing to undertake the project of converting into a digital form and restoring certain Canadian films, the whole in accordance with the terms and conditions detailed below.
This new initiative will offer the opportunity to restore and digitize films of cultural relevance and highlight their importance in Canadian film history, while also spotlighting films from underrepresented communities.
