Voices of Canada Cohort at DOC NYC – Industry Roundtables (formerly known as Only In New York)

The DOC NYC – Industry Roundtables  is currently accepting entries for its 2022 edition.

Please note that all applications must be submitted directly to the DOC NYC website.

Entry Fees: No (application fees are waived for Canadians)

Eligibility
  • Submissions are open to documentary works-in-progress feature proposals;
  • Submitted works-in-progress must have at least 30% of their budget already in place.

 

With the support of the Consulate General of Canada in New York and Telefilm Canada, DOC NYC will curate a delegation of Canadian filmmakers with works in progress to participate in the Industry Roundtables and DOC NYC PRO conference this year.

Eligible Projects will be selected based on their creative potential, ability to engage an audience, and potential for success in the marketplace. The project’s lead creative team will also be considered.

Selected teams will be granted an All-Access badge to the Festival and DOC NYC PRO and will be invited to apply to the International Promotion Program for financial assistance to attend the event if they meet eligibility criteria of the program

A program of curated panels and events will be organized by the Consulate General of Canada in NY, Telefilm and DOC NYC and teams are expected to attend from November 9-12,2022.

Note that the program is not intended for completed films that will make their public screening debut at DOC NYC in November 2022.

Part of DOC NYC PRO, Industry Roundtables presents an opportunity for film teams with projects to join lively roundtable-format information sessions with key industry figures from the fields of distribution, philanthropic funding, financing, PR, marketing, social impact, festival programming, and more.
