The 29th Sheffield Doc Fest is currently accepting applications for its 2022 edition.

Please note that films must be submitted directly to the festival.

ELIGIBILITY

• Films premiered at a film festival or cinema in the UK (other than Sheffield DocFest partnership screenings) before 29 June 2021 are not eligible for entry.
• Priority given to World, International, European and UK premieres.

Founded in 1994, Sheffield Doc/Fest is a world leading and the UK’s premier documentary festival, celebrating the art and business of documentary and all non-fiction storytelling.

Each year the Festival exhibits over 140 films and welcomes over 40,000 Festival goers including over 2,000 industry delegates from over 70 countries.

Introduced in 2016, the “MeetMarket” stimulates scheduled one-on-one meetings between filmmakers and buyers, establishing the festival as an important international marketplace for documentary.
