About

For the last 43 years the Festival de films de femmes de Créteil has gone out worldwide to discover new filmmakers, their films and to showcase their efforts, support their projects and help develop their creativity. Fighting against all forms of discrimination, race, sex, culture and social class, it assumes his double heritage towards feminism and cultural action, and places questioning on the image and modes of representation at the centre of its thoughts.

The festival programs three international competitions:

  • Narrative feature film
  • Documentary feature film
  • Short film

Two Canadian films were selected for the 2020 edition:  La Rivière sans repos (Marie-Hélène Cousineau) and Chants de gorge à Kangirsuk (Eva Kaukai, Manon Chamberland).

Telefilm Canada recognizes selection in the Festival international de films de femmes de Créteil and provides assistance through the International Festival Participation Program.
