Canadian Preselection Screenings
(Feature-length narratives)
Telefilm Canada is currently accepting entries for Canadian feature films for the Cannes Film Festival, “L’Officiel”, as well as the two parallel sections, the Critics’ Week, and the Directors’ Fortnight.
Every year, Telefilm Canada invites members of the selection committees from Cannes to screen the Canadian features submitted in a private theater in Montreal between February 21 to March 10, 2022.
Each member of the selection committees will evaluate the entries for the section he/she represents, either the Festival de Cannes “L’Officiel” – which comprises the Competition, Out-of-Competition and Un Certain Regard-, the Directors’ Fortnight or The Critics’ Week.
Submission fees:
- Films submitted via Telefilm Canada to the selection screenings will be exempt from the festival submission fees.
Documentaries and short films must be submitted directly to the Cannes Festival and its parallel section, the Directors’ Fortnight and the Critics’ Week and submissions fees must be paid.
