Series Mania 2022

Call for Entries

(First seasons for new scripted series or mini-series, dramas, comedies and short forms)

Series Mania is currently accepting applications for its upcoming 2022 edition. Series can be selected for the following sections: International Competition, French Competition, Short forms Competition, International Panorama, Comedies Competition.

Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the Festival.

Eligibility

For the competitive sections, the Festival will not accept:

• Documentary series
• Children’s series
• Series pilots
• Follow-up seasons

To be eligible for consideration:

• Series must have been produced in 2021 or 2022.
• Submitted series or mini-series must be fictional
• Submissions should include at least the first 2 episodes for series that exceed 40 minutes of length per episode, and at least the first 3 episodes for series under such length.
• All submitted episodes must include English subtitles except for series in French and/or English. Dialogue lists will not be accepted.
• Work in progress can be submitted.
• Series must not have been exhibited in France at a different festival and/or broadcast in France on television (free access, digital, cable or satellite) and/or released on a platform or streaming service available in France before March 25, 2022.
• Regarding the International premieres and French premieres that may be selected in the International Panorama or Comedy sections, only series released after September 1, 2021 will be accepted.

Based in Lille since 2018, Series Mania has become the biggest event dedicated uniquely to television series in Europe. Its festival offers exclusive world premieres of the greatest international series on the big screen, giving its audience – up to

72,000 spectators – 8 days of discoveries, parties and masterclass with some of the most renowned personalities in the series world.

At the same time, Series Mania welcomes 3,000 French and foreign professionals of the TV industry at Series Mania Forum and Lille Dialogues summit. Two key events for networking and business that are now extended online with the creation in 2020 of Series Mania Digital Forum.

In 2021, series Dark Soul (Encore télévision / Séries plus), Felix, Maude and the End of the World (Trio Orange / ICI Tou.tv), Something Undone (4AM Film Studios / CBC-GEM) and Sort Of (Sienna Films, Sphère Media Plus / CBC-TV, TEVA) have been selected.
