On Screen Study by Women in View
Context Summary: This study aims to provide the Canadian industry with proven solutions, and new strategies for policy and program initiatives which may advance the cause of gender parity in the industry.
The study is primarily an international benchmarking exercise and will undertake a global search for initiatives, programs, and policies that may have moved the dial for gender parity in the entertainment business. Furthermore, consultations with women in leadership positions in the Canadian media industry will provide insight regarding potential initiatives aimed at the advancement of women. The goal of this study is to provide stakeholders with the tools to better understand and address gender disparity in the screen industries.
