NOT SHORT ON TALENT at Cannes

Cannes, France, May 22 to 28, 2017

Call for entries

(Short films, all genres)

Telefilm Canada is currently accepting submissions for its 7th edition of “Canada: Not Short on Talent”at Cannes, a curated showcase presented at the Short Film Corner (May 22-28), a component of the Market which runs parallel to the Cannes Film Festival.

Not Short on Talent is a Telefilm Canada initiative that promotes recent Canadian short films participating at the Short Film Corner, a professional area for meetings, industry events and viewing facilities.

This showcase is designed to increase the international exploitation of new Canadian short films and to promote Canadian talent to buyers, distributors, producers and festival programmers.

If your film is selected, Telefilm Canada will cover the cost of the film registration and upload on the Short Film Corner server.  Selected films will benefit from a promotional campaign developed by Telefilm Canada to ensure exposure of the films to the 2 500 participating professionals at the Short Film Corner. Under the “Canada: Not Short on Talent” label, your film will be highlighted by a prime position in the Short Film Corner printed catalogue and on the Home page of the 60 private viewing screens available on site.

In addition, if your film is selected and you are interested in attending the festival, the Short Film Corner offers 2 festival accreditations per film. While Telefilm Canada encourages you to experience the festival and its market events, we are not offering travel grant for this initiative.
