eTELEFILM CAMPAIGN – For all Clients participating in International Film Festivals in 2011-12
Montreal – November 16, 2010 – Telefilm Canada would like to inform clients planning to register their films at the Canadian selection screenings in Montreal for Cannes 2011, and the 2011 editions of Karlovy Vary, Locarno, Venice, and Pusan, that it is now mandatory to register via eTelefilm, our secure, simple and efficient online service. This will also apply to the 2012 editions of the Sundance Film Festival and the Berlin Film Festival selection screenings.
In order for clients to register for the Canadian selection screenings in Montreal for the above-noted festivals, it is strongly recommended that a permanent account at eTelefilm be created today. Telefilm will send you a private PIN within five (5) business days of receipt of the duly completed eTelefilm application documents. Please click the following link to access the registration procedure.
A permanent account will allow a film to be registered for several festivals, as one application can be duplicated for each festival, thereby saving clients both time and resources. A temporary account, which does not require a private PIN, will also be offered through eTelefilm; however, this account will not allow duplication of applications.
Over 1,000 clients are currently using eTelefilm to submit applications, to follow-up on submitted films and to make direct deposit payments for the Canada Feature Film Fund or the Canada Media Fund. Telefilm Canada recently expanded the use of its eTelefilm services to include both its festival and market activities to ensure a fluidity of service for all clients.
