Feature and Short films: fiction, animation and documentary
The Shanghai International Film Festival is currently accepting entries for its 2022 edition.
Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the festival.

Eligibility
Feature Films
- Films must have been completed after June 1, 2021 (Golden Goblet Competition) OR after January 1, 2021 (International Panorama)
- Feature Films must be +70 minutes, +60 minutes for animation
- World premieres or international premieres are given priority.
- Films in languages other than English must be subtitled
Short Films
- Films must have been completed after June 1, 2021
- Short Films must be 40 minutes or less
- Documentary Shorts (Live action) are not eligible

Founded in 1993, the Shanghai International Film Festival is recognized by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association) as one of the thirteen so-called A-Festivals (competitive feature films festivals) from around the world.
The Festival presents around 390 films and draws in an audience of approximately 300,000. Canadian films are presented in its Official Competition and International Panorama, which includes several national spotlights and retrospectives.
Telefilm Canada recognizes selection of a feature film in the Festival for applications to its International Promotion Program.
