The concurrent industry events Animation Production Days and FMX – Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Immersive Media attracts an additional 4,000 industry attendees.

Among the varied film programme, the focus is on short films for adults and children, with numerous competitive categories awarding cash prizes. The winning short film of the Grand Prix (15,000 €) automatically qualifies for the Oscar Animated short category. Two prizes are reserved to school film, the Best Graduation Film (10,000 €) and the Best Student Film (2,500 €).  Other awards include the Tricks for Kids Award for the Best children’s animated short film (4,000 €), the Audience Award (6,000 €), and the AniMovie Award for the Best animated feature.
