The Torino Film Festival is currently accepting entries for its 2019 edition.

Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the festival.

  • Competitive: Yes
  • Entry Fees: No

 

Eligibility
  • Films must have been completed after September 1, 2018;
  • Film must not have been screened in Italy.

 

Competition:

  • Narrative and documentary features;
  • Films in competition must not have screened in Competition at one of the major international film festivals: Cannes, Berlin, Locarno.

 

Non-competitive sections:

  • ONDE focuses on experimental works of all length and formats;
  • AFTER HOURS is dedicated to feature genre films;

 

The Torino Film Festival pays particular attention to emerging cinemas and young

filmmakers. In its competitive sections, it promotes awareness of films by new directors whose works are characterized by strong formal and stylistic research.

The Festival Competition awards a number of prizes including the Best Film award which comes with € 15.000, and the Best Doc in TFFdoc with € 5.000.

 

CANADA AT TORINO: A considerable number of Canadian features were selected and have won awards in recent years. In 2019, The Fireflies are Gone (La Disparition des lucioles) de Sébastien Pilote was selected in competition.

 

Telefilm Canada recognizes selection in the Festival for application to its International Marketing Program.
