ABOUT

The Venice International Film Critics’ Week is an independent and parallel section of the Venice International Film Festival organized by the Union of Italian Film Critics (SNCCI).

The programme presents a selection of seven debut films in competition presented as world premieres and two special features out of competition.

First films from all the sections of the Venice Film Festival are eligible for the “Luigi De Laurentiis Award Lion of the Future”, granting 100,000 USD.

Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a feature film in the Festival for applications to its International Promotion Program.
