ABOUT
DOK.fest München is the largest festival of its kind in Germany and has also become one of the most relevant platforms for documentary film in Europe in recent years. Programming 150 feature-length documentaries in several non-competitive sections and the main International Competition that showcases 12 titles.
The 2022 edition invited three Canadian films: FIRE OF LOVE, BATATA and MIDWIVES.
DOK.forum Marketplace is a coproduction forum for projects in development that runs parallel to the festival. The call will open in December. The forum invites around 45 documentary projects to be presented at pitching events, roundtable sessions and one-to-one meetings. Project teams have access to 250 experts such as commissioning editors, producers, funding representatives, distributors, and sales agents.
Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a feature film at the Glasgow Festival and may provide support through the International Promotion Program.
