ABOUT
The Miami International Film Festival (MIFF) offers an important venue in the U.S. for launching new Ibero-American cinema and showcasing international films entering the United States. The annual Festival attracts approximately 45,000 audience members and 300 industry delegates.
The festival also offers many cash prizes totalling more than $100,000 USD. The $25,000 Knight MARIMBAS Award is a cash competition for the jury-selected U.S. or international narrative feature film (60 min or longer) that best exemplifies richness and resonance for cinema’s future. The First Feature Award is a $10,000 cash prize to the filmmaker of the jury-selected best first feature narrative.
In 2023, Falcon Lake (C. Le bon), Riceboy Sleeps (A. Shim), I Like Movies (C. Levack), Kite Zo A (K. Nabatian) et Great Seeing You (H. Pruner) were presented at the festival.
Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a feature film in the festival for applications to its International Promotion Program.
