ABOUT
The Torino Film Festival is organized by the National Cinema Museum. It has established itself as a forum dedicated to supporting independent cinema, first and second works, documentaries and shorts. It favours films by new directors (1st and 2nd feature) whose works are characterized by strong formal and stylistic innovation.
The festival which programs 120 films is divided into three competitive sections: Features (world or international status premieres required), documentaries (open to docs of minimum length of 52 minutes, international or Italian premiere status required), and shorts. There is also an out-of-competition category dedicated to the most interesting films of the current year, and Zibaldone, a totally free and heterogeneous section, with titles of all kinds, without any restrictions on duration, or format.
Canadian features selected at the festival in recent years: Falcon Lake (2022), Soleils Atikamekw and Solo (2023).
Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a feature film in the Festival for applications to its International Promotion Program
