The Venice International Film Festival (“Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezi”) is currently accepting applications for its upcoming 2023 edition.
Please note that films must be submitted directly to the festival.

ABOUT
The Mostra Competition
The Venice International Film Festival is organized by La Biennale di Venezia. The international competition comprises 20 feature-length films, presented as World premieres.
Out of Competition
Some of the most important works of the year will be presented in the non-competing section, and they may include the works of established authors who have participated in Competition in previous editions of the Venice Film Festival.
Orizzonti
An international competitive section with 19 feature films presented as World premieres that represent the latest aesthetic and expressive trends in international cinema, with special attention to debut films, young talents who are not yet firmly established, indie features.
Orizzonti programs a small selection of short films of all genres with a World premiere status and a maximum length of 20 minutes.
Orizzonti Extra
Features a selection of up to 10 works of different genres with the aim of innovating and demonstrating creative originality.
Venice Immersive is a competitive section with 30 projects with a World or International premiere status. 360 videos, 3 DOF and 6 DOF interactive XR works, of any length, including installations and virtual worlds are eligible.
Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a film or an immersive project in the Venezia Mostra for applications to its International Promotion Program.
