CALL FOR ENTRIES
(Feature-length films, all genres)
Telefilm Canada is currently accepting Canadian entries (feature-length films) on behalf of the Berlin International Film Festival.
Telefilm will coordinate selection screening sessions in a private theatre in Montréal from September 3-6, 2023 with senior festival programmers.
Open to narrative and documentary feature-length films, World and International premieres only.
DETAILS
- Registration fees are waived for films submitted at the screening sessions organized by Telefilm Canada.
- Telefilm recognizes a selection of a film in the Festivals for applications to its International Promotion Program.

The Berlinale, along with Cannes and Venice, counts as one of the oldest and most important competitive festivals in the world. It is one of the largest public film festivals in the world, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from around the globe. Every year, around 200 films of all genres, lengths and formats are shown in the various sections. In 2022, 8,799 professionals from 130 countries — among which 1,628 journalists — attended the festival.
Canadian films are eligible for consideration in different sections of the Berlinale, each with its own unique profile: Official Competition, Encounters, Panorama, Generation, Forum, Berlinale Special and Gala Special.
