CALL FOR PROJECTS
(Feature films in development and in post-production, genre films)
Frontières Platform in Cannes is currently accepting applications for its Buyers Showcase and Proof of Concept Presentation. The Frontières Platform in Cannes, a co-presentation between the Fantasia International Film Festival and the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes, is a dedicated section of industry programming and networking events for the genre film industry at the Marché du Film.
Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a project at the Market for applications to its International Promotion Program.
The Platform Programme includes two components:
- Proof of Concept Presentation: A Presentation of proof-of-concept videos from projects in advanced financing, followed by an invitation-only networking lunch
- Buyers Showcase: A presentation (video and pitch) of genre films in progress and post-production, seeking sales agents

- Entry Fees: No
- Participation Fee: $200 CAD if selected

- Projects must:
- Qualify as feature length;
- Qualify as “genre” in nature: horror, sci-fi, fantasy, action, dark thriller;
- Be in a post-production stage;
- Be seeking sales agents or buyers.

eligibility requirements for proof of concept presentation
- Projects must:
- Qualify as feature length (narrative or documentary);
- Qualify as “genre” in nature: horror, sci-fi, fantasy, action, dark thriller;
- Have at least 20% of their production financing confirmed; be seeking to close financing; and have yet to enter into production;
- Provide a proof of concept video with a runtime of 2-5 minutes in length;
- Have at least one lead member of the team (director/lead producer) available to present the project during the Marché du film in Cannes.
