The Reykjavík International Film Festival is currently accepting applications for its 2021 edition.

 Please note that films must be submitted directly to the festival via FilmFreeway.

Eligibility 
  • Only films that have been completed after January 1st, 2020 are eligible for submission;
  • Must be at minimum Icelandic premieres (i.e. must not have been screened publicly in Iceland prior to the 2020 festival, including a broadcast version of any length);
  • Must be in English, or subtitled in English;

 

About

RIFF – Reykjavík International Film Festival – is one of the biggest and most diverse cultural events in Iceland. The festival’s main objective is to offer a wide selection of groundbreaking, independent cinema, to highlight the work of young and emerging filmmakers, by presenting only first and second works in the Grand Prix competition category New Visions and to increase general interest in independent cinema, increase the level of cinematic literacy and enrich film culture in Iceland by offering different cross-platform programs.

 

Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a feature film in the Festival for application to its International Festival participation Program.
