Call for entries

(Feature films: fiction, animation and documentary)

The Shanghai International Film Festival is currently accepting entries for its 2020 edition.

Please note that all films must be submitted directly to the festival.

• Competitive: Yes
• Entry Fees: No

Eligibility

• Films must have been completed after January 1, 2019;
• Films must be +70 minutes or +60 minutes for animation;
• World premieres or international premieres are given priority.

Founded in 1993, the Shanghai International Film Festival is recognized by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association) as one of the thirteen so-called A-Festivals (competitive feature films festivals) from around the world.

The Festival presents around 390 films and draws in an audience of approximately 300,000. Canadian films are presented in its Official Competition and International Panorama, which includes several national spotlights and retrospectives.

Telefilm Canada recognizes selection in the Festival for application to its participation to international festivals and events support program.
