about

The Miami International Film Festival (MIFF) offers an important venue in the U.S. for launching new Ibero-American cinema and showcasing international films entering the United States. The annual festival attracts approximately 45,000 audience members and 300 industry delegates.

The festival also offers many cash prizes totaling more than $100,000 USD. The $25,000 Knight MARIMBAS Award is a cash competition for the jury-selected U.S. or international narrative feature film (60 min or longer) that best exemplifies richness and resonance for cinema’s future. Jordan Ressler First Feature Award is a $10,000 cash prize to the filmmaker of the jury-selected best first feature narrative.

In 2022, two features were presented at the festival, DRUNKEN BIRDS and the documentary, FILM, THE LIVING RECORD OF OUR MEMORY.

Telefilm Canada recognizes the selection of a feature film in the festival for applications to its International Promotion Program.
