Program overview

The Promotion Program’s Industry Initiatives Stream provides funding to activities that stimulate demand for Canadian content. Activities include:

• National award ceremonies for film, television or digital media 
• Alternative distribution networks 
• Conferences, panels and networking events 
• Training activities 

Who can apply

Canadian-controlled corporations who: 

• Have their head office in Canada. 
• Work in the film, television or digital media sectors. 

Activities must have:

• Received funding under the Promotion Program signed between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2023.
• Had at least two (2) editions financed by Telefilm. 
• Meet the additional eligibility criteria specific to each type of activity.

Key dates

Opening June 03, 2024 8:00 AM EDT

For activities with a start date between April 1, 2025, and September 30, 2025

Opening November 04, 2024 8:00 AM EST

Closing November 21, 2024 11:59 PM EST
