Virtual Worlds – International Competition for Narrative xR
Call for Entries
(virtual reality projects, 360° films, augmented reality projects, games and multi-media installations)
VIRTUAL WORLDS is an international festival dedicated to artistic and narrative, immersive experiences, organized by the Medien.Bayern GmbH in cooperation with the international FILMFEST MÜNCHEN.
The festival is looking for cutting edge, innovative, artistic and narrative immersive experiences.
ELIGIBILITY
Eligible projects include but are not limited to: virtual reality projects, 360° films, augmented reality projects, games and multi-media installations.
- Projects released after January 2019 are prioritized
- Length, genre and format: no restrictions
- The accepted language for experiences in the festival is English.
DEADLINES AND SUBMISSION FEES
The call ends on April 19th, 2020, 23.59 CET
The early deadline with a submission fee of 19€ ends March 15th, 2020
The late and final deadline with a submission fee of 29 € ends April 19th, 2020.
The Festival requires a downloadable link. Links must remain active and accessible through May 15th, 2020
AWARDS
All selected experiences shown within the section “competition” of the festival are applicable for the awards:
- BEST IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE,
- BEST INTERACTIVE and
- BEST LINEAR EXPERIENCE
The awards are endowed with prize money totaling 20,000 € and will be announced during an award ceremony on June 29th in the presence of the artists.
SELECTION
Virtual Worlds will inform you by e-mail or by May 15th latest.
Selected projects will be invited to Munich. Virtual Worlds will cover travel expenses
