The General Admission Festivals Program provides streamlined funding to small and/or emerging film festivals taking place starting on or after October 1, 2023, that are aimed at the general public.
The Medium to Large-Scale Festivals Program finances long-established medium to large-scale film festivals and film markets in Canada, starting on or after October 1, 2023.
This program provides targeted financial support for activities that provide mentorship, professional development, career advancement and/or skills development for Canadian and Indigenous creators and professional workers in the audiovisual industry.
This program provides financial support for activities that elevate Canada’s audiovisual sector, and stimulate audience demand for Canadian and Indigenous content.
This program is for Canadian commercial theatre operators and is designed to support the exhibition of and access to Canadian films in Canadian theatres.
This Stream provides funding for activities not covered by the other two streams of the Promotion Program, including awards ceremonies, alternative distribution networks, conferences and training activities.
This stream includes long-established medium to large-scale film festivals and film markets.
This stream aims to provide funding to small and emerging film festivals.
This program offers assistance to Canadian distribution companies whose business operations have been affected by public health advisories requiring complete theatre closures or reduced capacity, which has impacted their revenues and therefore their financial capacity.
