Téléfilm Canada annonce un investissement de plus de 15 737 918 dollars dans 25 longs métrages du marché anglophone sélectionnés dans le cadre du volet des productions à petit budget du Programme d’aide à la production, y compris les coproductions internationales.

Téléfilm a également financé cinq projets dans le cadre de son volet autochtone, représentant un investissement de plus de 3 millions de dollars.

La sélection de cette année reflète une forte diversité régionale et propose des œuvres susceptibles de rejoindre un large public, avec des productions couvrant un large éventail de genres, de la science-fiction et de l’horreur à la comédie et au drame.

Le mois dernier, le financement de 11 longs métrages à gros budget du marché anglophone a été annoncé.

Téléfilm continue de recevoir un grand nombre de demandes, particulièrement en Ontario et dans la région de l’Ouest, dans le cadre de son Programme d’aide à la production. Pour le marché anglophone, 226 projets ont été évalués pour le volet des productions à petit budget, incluant les coproductions internationales, ce qui représente plus de 146 millions de dollars en demandes de financement. Dans le cadre du volet autochtone, 18 projets ont été évalués, pour un total de près de 12 millions en demande de financement.

D’autres décisions de financement, incluant pour le Programme pour le long métrage documentaire, seront annoncées dans les prochaines semaines. Les statistiques sur tous les films financés durant l’année seront publiées dans le rapport annuel 2026-2027.

Pour chaque région ainsi que pour le volet autochtone, des comités consultatifs composés de membres externes et internes ont évalué les projets et formulé des recommandations à l’intention de Téléfilm.  Le processus décisionnel vise à assurer un portefeuille de productions équilibré reflétant une variété de genres, de budgets et de tailles d’entreprises, de régions du pays et de points de vue. Les noms des membres du comité de sélection seront publiés sur la page Comités consultatifs pour les demandes de financement des projets du site Web de Téléfilm lorsque toutes les décisions de financement auront été prises.
