Opening soon: Telefilm Canada’s International Promotion and International Promotion – Distribution Support programs 

Telefilm Canada announces the opening dates of the International Promotion Program and the International Promotion – Distribution Support Program for fiscal year 2026-27.  

There have been no changes to the programs this year.  

Key dates – International Promotion Program:    

• Opening date: April 14, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. (EST) 

• Closing date: February 16, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. (EST)

• Opening date: April 14, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. (EST) 

• Closing date: February 9, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. (EST) 

The International Promotion Program provides financial support to Canadian production companies whose productions have been officially selected at an international festival, as well as to producers invited to an international coproduction forum.  

The Distribution Stream of the International Promotion Program aims to support the promotional campaign of Canadian feature films released in foreign territories.
