Québec and Canada to Shine at Cartoon Movie!
Six Québec and Canadian projects have been selected to be pitched at the 27th Cartoon Movie, which will take place from March 3 to 5, 2026, in Bordeaux, France. This first official presence of Québec and Canada at this major European animation event will be supported by a significant delegation of professionals in production, distribution, international sales, publishing, and broadcasting, all working to foster new collaborations and expand international networks.
On this occasion, the recognized expertise of Québec and Canada in animation will be showcased through the initiative “Québec-Canada Land in Europe: A Space for Creation.” This platform will highlight the sector’s dynamism and creativity by presenting an exceptional selection of projects, while offering creators and industry professionals valuable opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and the development of long-term partnerships.
The Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) and Telefilm Canada are particularly proud to support this first presence, contributing to the promotion of Québec and Canadian animated cinema and to the visibility of the industry’s expertise and know‑how on the European stage.
