Telefilm Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Stéphanie Demers as Regional Director, Feature Film – French Market, effective July 13, 2026.

With more than 15 years of experience in the film industry, Stéphanie Demers will bring her expertise to supporting and working alongside creators, producers and industry professionals in the French-language market.

A film professional with extensive experience in distribution (h264, Alliance Vivafilm, Les Films Séville, Fragments Distribution), Stéphanie Demers has a deep understanding of a film’s journey, from development through to its connection with audiences. Throughout her career, she has developed marketing and release strategies for films of varying ambitions, budgets and target audiences, building a strong understanding of the industry’s realities and the challenges surrounding the circulation and visibility of Canadian works. As Co-President of h264, she contributed to the company’s growth while supporting a wide range of films and filmmakers.

Committed for many years to the development of Quebec’s film industry, Stéphanie Demers has also been actively involved with initiatives and organizations such as AIME TON CINÉMA, the Prix collégial du cinéma québécois and the Regroupement des distributeurs indépendants de films du Québec.
