Telefilm Canada announces reopening of Vancouver office

Telefilm Canada is pleased to announce the reopening of its Vancouver office, effective March 12, 2025. The reopening of the office will enable us to bring Telefilm staff together in one space, as well as strengthen our partnerships and solidify our commitment to the Western Canada region. 

The new office is located at 1055 Georgia St. West, Suite 2405-02, in the heart of Vancouver’s financial district. 

In 2023, Telefilm announced its intention to relocate its office, and all measures were taken to ensure that Telefilm’s Western-based staff could continue their usual collaboration with the region’s industry partners.

Since opening its first office in Vancouver in 1984, Telefilm has been committed to stimulating and supporting the film industry in the West. This office is one of Telefilm’s three, located in Montreal (head office), Toronto and Halifax – the latter, which we share with the NFB, was inaugurated last November.  

This pan-Canadian presence aligns with the regional strategies we are developing nationally, which began with the launch of the Atlantic Strategy in 2024. The Western Strategy is scheduled for launch in the fall of 2025. These strategies are designed to meet the specific needs of the different regions of Canada. They ensure tailored support while remaining aligned with our 2024-2027 Strategic Plan to strengthen the power of Canadian and Indigenous cinema.
