Telefilm Canada announces closing date for funding requests for lower-budget French-language films (budgeted at under $2.5 million)

Montreal, June 2, 2015 — Telefilm Canada is announcing the closing date for production and post-production funding support for lower-budget French-language films (less than $2.5 million). To date, we have received a higher number of funding requests than our budget allows for, and a significant portion of our funding resources for this fund has already been used. As a result, Telefilm will no longer accept applications for the balance of fiscal 2015-2016 as of June 26, 2015 (5 p.m. local time).
