Telefilm Canada announces the appointment of Évelyne Morrisseau to the position of Director, Marketing and Communications

Montreal, March 6, 2013
– Telefilm Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Évelyne Morrisseau to the position of Director, Marketing and Communications, effective March 18, 2013.

In her position, Ms. Morrisseau will play a lead role in national marketing by identifying and managing Canada-wide initiatives, and will head the team responsible for Telefilm’s external and internal communications, branding, Website and social media. Her mandate will consist, notably, of strengthening Telefilm’s brand on the national and international scene, managing and enhancing the organization’s media visibility, and actively promoting the Canadian audiovisual industry’s talents and projects.

Ms. Morrisseau holds a Master’s degree in public and business administration and is a seasoned professional who brings to Telefilm more than 10 years’ experience in marketing, business development and operational efficiency, six years of which were spent at the international level.

During her career, Ms. Morrisseau has worked in various fields, including media, telecommunications, finance and information technology. Since 2004, she has held several positions at the Cirque du Soleil, including that of Marketing Planning and Operations Director – Touring Shows, Americas and Europe and, more recently, Global Marketing Management Partnership Director. Before the Cirque du Soleil, she held a number of positions, including that of consultant with Radio-Canada, in Montreal, and with the Canadian Television Fund, in Toronto.
