Telefilm Canada announces the closing date for the Production Program for French-language productions with budgets less than $2.5M (selective component).

Montreal, April 9, 2014 – Telefilm Canada wishes to inform its clients of the Production Program of the Canada Feature Film Fund that they have until April 18 to submit their funding applications for French-language projects with budgets less than $2.5 million. After that date, the Program, unfortunately, will be closed for the rest of the 2014-2015 fiscal year.

The Production Program for French-language projects with budgets less than $2.5 million opened its doors on March 21. Since then, Telefilm has received numerous applications; unfortunately, the number exceeds our funding resources.

Even though funds are exhausted, we encourage you to maintain a dialogue with Marie-France Godbout, National Feature Film Executive – French Market, at (514) 283-0838, for all French-language productions underway or in development. To ensure more effective management of upcoming projects, all our French-language market clients should now contact her to discuss their production projects before submitting an official funding application.
