Telefilm Canada’s Board of Directors provides update on organization’s operations

15 January 2010

Montréal, January 15, 2010 – Telefilm Canada’s Board of Directors would like to thank the outgoing Executive Director, Wayne Clarkson, whose term ended today. Until an announcement is made for a successor, the Board has taken all the necessary measures to maintain effective operations at Telefilm.

“As the industry is aware, our Management Committee is made up of experienced, competent managers who represent all sectors of the organization – ensuring that Telefilm’s activities continue in a seamless way until a new Executive Director is named,” said Michel Roy, Chair of Telefilm Canada.

All issues which would normally fall under the Executive Director’s exclusive authority will be submitted to the Board of Directors for decision. Thus, Telefilm’s business operations will continue to be run smoothly and effectively.
