Stéphane Cosentino has been named National Director of the Canada Media Fund Programs Administrator

Telefilm Canada is pleased to announce Stéphane Cosentino as the National Director, Canada Media Fund Programs Administrator (CMFPA). For over a year, Stéphane has been in the position as an interim leading a team of over 50 professionals across the country who administer the television and digital media funding programs on behalf of the Canada Media Fund (CMF).  

With over 33 years of experience in the film, television and digital media sectors, Stéphane brings extensive expertise in intellectual property, entertainment law, financing, security and multidisciplinary team management. He served as Telefilm’s Legal Counsel for 16 years before taking on leadership roles as Deputy Director for both the convergent and experimental teams in 2006. During the transition from the Canadian Television Fund to the Canada Media Fund in 2010, Stéphane assumed the role of Interim Director of the CMFPA (French market) on a one-year term. In 2011, he was confirmed as the Deputy Director of the Experimental Stream. 

Stéphane reports to Francesca Accinelli, Senior Vice-President, Program Strategy and Industry Development at Telefilm Canada.  

For over a decade, Telefilm Canada has been administering the CMF’s funding programs.
