Telefilm Canada relaunches the International Promotion Program
Telefilm Canada is relaunching the International Promotion Program, previously known as the Participation in International Festivals and Events Support Program, with important changes made to the program.
The International Promotion Program offers financial support to Canadian producers, distributors and sales agents whose eligible projects were officially selected at an international festival.
Important changes:
- The list of eligible festivals has been updated and broadened
- There is more flexibility with regards to eligible costs
Key dates:
- Opening date: June 14, 2021
- Closing date: February 25, 2022, subject to availability of funds
In keeping with the Government of Canada’s Travel Advice and Advisories, urging all Canadians to avoid non-essential travel, the travel expenses remain excluded from eligible costs until further notice.
Telefilm unequivocally recommends to applicants that any travel outside of Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic period must comply with any advice or directive issued by the Government of Canada, including the advice as of today’s date to avoid all non-essential travel outside of Canada.
