2013-2014 Production Program – Telefilm Canada announces that all funds assigned to French-language projects with budgets over $1.5 million have now been allocated

Montreal, May 3, 2013 – Telefilm Canada wishes to advise its Production Program clients that all funds assigned to French-language projects with budgets of over $1.5 million have been allocated for 2013-2014.

The Production Program was opened to French-language projects with budgets of over $1.5 million on October 29, 2012. Due to the implementation of a new faster decision-making process as part of our Program Redesign initiative, the funds assigned to this portion of our clientele were allocated sooner this year compared to previous years.

For 2013-2014, 13 French-language projects with budgets of over $1.5 million received funding from Telefilm for a total investment of $11.5 million.

To ensure more efficient management of future projects, we also recommend that all our French-language market clients discuss their production project with Marie-France Godbout before submitting a formal application for funding.
