2013 EDITION OF CINEMA DU QUÉBEC À PARIS – Cinéma du Québec section available on iTunes France

05 December 2013

Montreal, November 22, 2013 – As part of the 17th edition of Cinéma du Québec à Paris, which is taking place from November 26 to December 1 at the Forum des images, French film enthusiasts will be able to find a range of Quebec films on video on demand (VOD) from iTunes France under Cinéma du Québec à Paris. This initiative, which will be launched on November 26, is made possible by the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC), Telefilm Canada and Under The Milky Way, a service company dedicated to the digital distribution of films and audiovisual programs worldwide, with the support of the IPEDA Mundus project, funded by the European Commission’s MEDIA Program, which fosters exchanges and international cooperation in the audiovisual sector.

Actor, director and producer Carole Laure, who has been honourary chair of Cinéma du Québec à Paris from the very beginning, is delighted by this news: “Quebec cinema is being promoted throughout the world. We must make the most of this technological shift and all the advantages that these new broadcast platforms offer. Thanks to these initiatives, our culture will reach an even wider audience all across the globe.”

The Cinéma du Québec à Paris section available on iTunes France includes: Camion by Rafaël Ouellet, La face cachée de la lune by Robert Lepage, Mars et Avril by Martin Villeneuve, Over my Dead Body by Brigitte Poupart, Pour l’amour de Dieu by Micheline Lanctôt and Tout ce que tu possèdes by Bernard Émond, as well as four films selected at the 17th edition of Cinéma du Québec à Paris, namely Bà Nôi by Khoa Lê, Diego Star by Frédérick Pelletier, Finissant(e)s by Rafaël Ouellet and Les 4 soldats by Robert Morin.

These last four films will be simultaneously broadcast on iTunes and as part of the Forum des images during their planned screening at Cinéma du Québec à Paris.
