ACE Mundus Program / Project 2011

28 July 2010

Would you like to take advantage of a unique training and networking opportunity with European co-producers?

Telefilm Canada is pleased to invite Canadian producers to an information session with Sophie Bourdon, ACE Chief Executive, who will present the ACE Mundus Program / Project 2011.

Founded in Paris (France) in 1993, ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Européen) is a centre for training and development geared towards independent producers. Since its founding, more than 200 feature-film producers from 23 European territories have joined ACE as members.

Launched in 2009, the ACE IPA program (now known as ACE Mundus) is designed for independent producers working outside Europe. Telefilm Canada has entered into an agreement with ACE whereby two Canadian producers could once again be selected to participate in the third edition of the ACE Mundus Program.

This training workshop, which 4 Canadian producers have benefitted from, includes one-on-one coaching with professionals and informative sessions focused, notably, on co-production, its financial and legal aspects, the screenplay’s creative aspects, and international distribution. The workshop lasts seven days and is held in Europe in March.

To be eligible for the Program, you must be an independent producer with a fiction feature film currently in development and must have produced either:

  1. a co-production fiction feature film intended for theatrical release, for which you served as producer;
  2. two Canadian fiction feature films intended for theatrical release, for which you served as producer.

ACE will accept candidacies and applications of producers interested in the 2011 ACE Mundus Program starting on September 20.
