Industry Advisor – CODE Motion Pictures

Your short film could be among the sights and sounds of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

CODE, the Cultural Olympiad’s digital edition is calling for submissions of original concepts for CODE Motion Pictures, our themed strand of short films showcasing human bodies in motion. The selected films will be featured on towering high-definition screens in Vancouver and Whistler and computer monitors around the world during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.

The theme is the human body in motion; its power and frailty facing the challenges of sport, art and life itself. Art films, sports films, physical comedy, or compelling stories of courage and endurance: you supply the creative vision, we will power up the screens.

In partnership with Telefilm Canada and the Association of Provincial Film Funding Agencies, CODE will commission the production of up to 12 two-minute shorts from filmmakers across Canada. It’s an opportunity for Canada’s filmmakers to show the world what they’re made of and for audiences across the country and around the world to enjoy the full range of Cultural Olympiad programming.
