INDUSTRY ADVISORY – CALL FOR CANDIDATES : JURORS AND SELECTION COMMITTEE MEMBERS

July 15, 2009 – Telefilm Canada is delighted to announce a call for candidates to apply to be part of a pool of industry jurors.
Telefilm’s National and International Business Development sector often requires the services of industry professionals from across the country to sit on selection committees to assist in the implementation of the Featuring Aboriginal Stories Program, as well as the initiatives Feature It! and Écrire au Long, both part of the Official Languages Activities Program (OLA), aimed at expanding the pool of talented creators from Francophone communities outside Quebec and Anglophone communities in Quebec.
The nature and caliber of these unique programs calls for jurors from every facet of the audiovisual industry: production, screenwriting, distribution, broadcasting and exhibition. Telefilm is currently working on compiling a directory of eligible jurors upon which to draw throughout the year as the programs launch.
