INDUSTRY ADVISORY – WAYNE CLARKSON TO STEP DOWN AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF TELEFILM CANADA IN JANUARY 2010

Wayne Clarkson announced today his decision to step down as the Executive Director of Telefilm Canada at the conclusion of his five year appointment on January 17, 2010.

“It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as the Executive Director of Telefilm, one of Canada’s most valued cultural institutions committed to the promotion and development of our audiovisual industries,” said Mr. Clarkson. “But there is still a lot of work to do and, over the remaining six months of my term, I will continue to focus on Telefilm’s key challenges and priorities,” he concluded.  

The Board of Directors has commenced the search process for Mr. Clarkson’s replacement.

Mr. Clarkson began his five-year mandate at Telefilm Canada in January 2005.
