Telefilm Canada announces departure of E.J. Alon, Vice-President, Industry Development

Telefilm Canada would like to inform industry members and clients that after serving nearly three years as Vice-President, Industry Development (formerly, Director, Talent Fund), E.J. Alon has accepted a key leadership role with another organization and will be departing. His last day at Telefilm is July 14.

A deeply respected contributor to Telefilm’s Executive Leadership Team, E.J. had numerous successes, from reshaping the Talent Fund, to being a frontline lead in the roll-out of the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Funds, to most recently being the Co-chair of the Equity and Representation Action Committee.

Telefilm would like to thank E.J. for his work in helping to shape the Canadian audiovisual ecosystem and continuing to be a champion for Canadian talent. The organization wishes him all the best in his new endeavours.

Interim leadership duties for the Talent Fund will be assumed by Francesca Accinelli, Vice President, Promotion, Communication and International Relations.
