November 26, 2018 – Telefilm Canada warmly welcomes Catherine Émond as Director, Public and Government Affairs. Ms. Émond replaces Jean-Claude Mahé, who is retiring from the organization on December 28, 2018.

Ms. Émond comes to Telefilm Canada from Alliance Numérique, where she served as the Executive Director for a little over three years. She brings with her a varied background and a breadth of experience working with different levels of government, as well as with industry and public stakeholders in the cultural milieu. She will be a true asset to both Telefilm and the Canadian audiovisual industry.”

“It is such a pleasure to join Telefilm Canada, an organization that I have always admired,” said Catherine Émond. “I believe wholeheartedly in the central role that culture plays in a society, and Telefilm’s mandate to develop, support and promote Canada’s audiovisual talent is something that I am very passionate about. I cannot wait to get started!”
