Montréal, September 5, 2018 – Telefilm Canada is proud to partner with Sámi Film Institute and Nunavut Film Development Corporation to develop a pilot project to fund an Indigenous coproduction, in the aim of fostering collaboration between the different film communities in the Arctic Circle.

“International Sámi Film Institute is looking forward to this excellent initiative from Telefilm Canada and we hope this collaboration can be the first step towards better international funding opportunities for indigenous filmmakers,” said Anne Lajla Utsi, Managing Director of the International Sámi Film Institute.
