10 November 2010

Montreal, November 10, 2010 – Telefilm Canada has announced its commitment to 11 promising screenwriting projects at the treatment or first draft stage through its Programme d’aide à l’écriture de scénarios.

“The quality and diversity of the projects selected this year are remarkable,” said Michel Pradier, Director of Project Financing at Telefilm Canada. “Telefilm Canada is proud to support these projects from extremely talented scriptwriters.”

Launched in 2000 as part of the Canada Feature Film Fund, the Programme d’aide à l’écriture de scénarios is designed to develop and retain a pool of creative, talented and experienced screenwriters, and to produce a bank of Canadian feature film scripts with strong box-office potential. The program encourages creative renewal and professional development, while seeking to ensure that Canada’s cultural, linguistic and regional diversity is reflected in the resulting films.

Scriptwriters Selected for Stage One – Outline to Treatment*:

  • Rudy Barichello and Marcel Beaulieu
  • Chloé Cinq-Mars
