Registering Canadian films for the international festivals selection sessions held in Montréal – Change to registration procedure as of 2011
Montreal – December 16, 2010 – Telefilm Canada wishes to inform companies intending to register their Canadian films at the Montréal selection sessions for the 2011 editions of the Cannes, Karlovy Vary, Locarno, Venice and Pusan film festivals that it is now obligatory for them to register via eTelefilm, our simple, efficient and secure online service. Registering via eTelefilm will also be obligatory for the 2012 Sundance and Berlin film festivals.
We strongly recommend that companies wishing to register for the Canadian film selection sessions in Montréal for the above-mentioned festivals open a permanent eTelefilm account as of today. Telefilm will send you a personal PIN within five (5) working days of receipt of the duly completed eTelefilm application forms. Please click on the following link for details regarding the registration procedure.
By opening a permanent account, you will be able to use the same film registration form for several festivals, because a single application form can be copied for each festival. This will allow you to save valuable time and resources.
Clients may also open a temporary eTelefilm account that does not require a PIN. However, temporary accounts do not offer clients the option of using one registration form for multiple festivals.
More than 1000 clients are already using eTelefilm to submit applications, check the status of their projects and obtain payments via direct deposit under the Canada Feature Film Fund or the Canada Media Fund. Telefilm Canada recently extended the services available through its eTelefilm portal to cover its activities at markets and festivals, thereby ensuring smooth services for all its clients.
