Statement by Carolle Brabant on the passing of Arthur Lamothe and Michel Brault

“In the past few days we have lost two true legends and pioneers of Canadian cinema. Michel Brault and Arthur Lamothe left their mark on history through their love of cinema, their commitment to depicting real life and the beauty of their artistic approach. Both men were incredibly talented, creative and courageous—inspiring qualities that will not be forgotten. I would like to extend my condolences, and those of the entire Telefilm Canada team, to their family and friends as well as to their colleagues from the world of cinema.”
